I would like to introduce you to my Valentine.
He is tall, dark, and handsome. He’s smooth as can be. And yeah, maybe he’s a little fruity… but he’s got tons of character.
Okay yeah, sorry, I’m talking about wine. I’m drinking a bottle of 2013 Caymus (and munching on some dark chocolate, duh) to celebrate V-Day 2016. (Thanks, mom & dad!) By the way, um, how did we already get halfway through February? I digress.
Sorry it’s been quiet. It’s been a bit of a rough week for me, and Valentine’s Day in particular is proving challenging. I was up all night with a very sick dog, who was good enough to wake me up every two hours because he needed to go outside… but who also needed to go outside every two hours. We hit the emergency vet today and, thankfully, he’s gonna be just fine… to the tune of $400. Yes, I know, I should have pet insurance. I’m not sure it would cover an emergency/after-hours service anyway, though.
Basically, the short story here: not a lot of sleep, and I’m spending Valentine’s Day alone with this fine bottle of wine.
I’m only half complaining. Hope yours is beautiful and full of love.
