WRITER & EDITOR

Jamie Cattanach is a writer. Her essays, reportage and poetry have been featured in a wide range of media and literary publications including The New York Times, CNBC, Fodor’s, SELF, Ms. Magazine, Allure, HuffPost, Psyche, Fourth Genre, Nashville Review, Colorado Review and many others. Her unpublished memoir was chosen for the Manuscript Mentorship program at the Tin House Winter Workshop in 2022, and her work has been shortlisted for awards including the Pushcart Prize and the Disquiet Literary Prize. She also served as Assistant Editor for the essays column of The Rumpus, where she was a reader for almost a decade.

After a long season of wandering, including a twice-cross-country stint in a 17-foot travel trailer, Jamie put down roots in Portland, Oregon, far from her south Florida hometown. From personal finance to body image to travel and beyond, her work is focused on living well: what it means and how to do it.
