Jamie
Cattanach
WRITER & EDITOR
Jamie Cattanach is a writer. Her essays, reportage and poetry have been featured in a wide range of media and literary publications including The New York Times, Fodor’s, Ms. Magazine, Colorado Review and Fourth Genre, which nominated her essay, “Dessert,” for a 2025 Pushcart Prize. Her unpublished memoir was chosen for the Manuscript Mentorship program at the Tin House Winter Workshop, and her work has also been shortlisted for the Disquiet Literary Prize. She served as Assistant Editor for the essays column of The Rumpus, where she was a reader for almost a decade.
After a long season of wandering, including a twice-cross-country stint in a 17-foot travel trailer, Jamie put down roots in Portland, Oregon, far from her south Florida hometown. Across topics and modalities, her work is focused on living well: what it means and how to do it.
