Jamie Cattanach is an essayist, poet and journalist living in Portland, Oregon.
Her publication credits include The New York Times, Fodor’s, Ms. Magazine, Psyche, Colorado Review and Fourth Genre, among others.
She is a 2025 Pushcart Prize nominee and a 2026 Jack McCarthy Book Prize finalist through Write Bloody Press.
Her memoir was chosen for the Manuscript Mentorship program at the Tin House Winter Workshop, and her work has also been shortlisted for the Disquiet Literary Prize.
She served as Assistant Editor for the essays column of The Rumpus, where she was a reader for almost a decade.
